The Kod editor has some potential. I love the tabbed interface that comes from the Chrome browser. The address bar approach is unique as well for an editor.

After using it for a while, I noticed there are still quite a few bugs and issues. The syntax highlighting is a bit shaky and it started crashing a lot for me. However, if a good community of developers get behind it, I could see this becoming quite the editor as it matures.

This is a simple but brilliant implementation of text messaging. The beauty of it is its reach. You can communicate in real time with a group only limited by those who have texting. That isn’t much of a limitation these days. I love to see people take simple technology that works for virtually everyone (SMS) and extend it to make it easily do more.

GroupMe lets you effortlessly group text with the people in your life that are important to you. It’s your real-life network, in your pocket. It’s totally free and works on every phone.

This is a great deal that should shoot their app to the top of the most downloaded apps fast. I’ve used both iPhone and Android versions and they are worth paying for but if you grab it in January you won’t have to.

I have officially ended the use of Dreamweaver for all of my web development. I got so tired of the slow bloated performance of Dreamweaver and constantly having to pour more money into new versions. So I went looking for a better way and found this…

On Mac OS X I use CyberDuck for FTP and TextMate as an editor.

In case you are on Windows, though not as good, you can use FileZilla and Notepad++ and accomplish a similar setup and functionality.

This is the perfect combination and the price is much better than Dreamweaver. CyberDuck is free and a license to TextMate is only $56. The windows combination is completely free.

The syntax highlighting on TextMate is great and when you start using the bundles and snippet functionality of TextMate, you’ll quickly realize what you’ve been missing.

I came across this new app available now for the iPhone. It is the WordPress app. It allows for your to read and write blog posts to your WordPress blogs directly from your iPhone.

This post is actually being written from my iPhone 3G.

Also, one of the key features that I already like about this app, other than it’s simplicity, is how you can setup multiple blogs to manage and it will save the settings for each.

You should definitely downlaod this app if you are an iPhone and WordPress user.
